Decent, extremely fast and VERY affordable American-style Chinese take out spot frequented by locals who are mostly Latino. I've been coming here for over a decade and my favorite dish (broccoli and bean curd) is still only $4.10 and ready to be picked up in 5 minutes. Where else can you get that in NYC, especially something vegetarian with protein. There are a few tables for quick eating.

I have been ordering from New Taste for a year. We are moving out of the area so I thought I'd leave a nice review for them because they are fantastic and I will definitely miss them! Not once have we had ANY issues with our order. The food is good, maybe slightly better than most Americanized Chinese places. The thing I really liked was their promptness. We never waited more than 20 minutes for our food. After our first few orders, they realized we are regular customers, so they started giving us extra food. To me, that is excellent customer service. I think the people who believe they have experienced rudeness with them or the delivery guy is due to a language/cultural difference.

I haven been ordering take out from "New Taste" ever since I was 10 years old (now in my mid twenties). And there has not been a time when the food from this place has disappointed. Granted, Chinese take-out is not the most healthy food one can get to eat. However, this place has done a respectable job in keeping up with their own taste and quality for over decades. I definitely recommend their common plates, such as Chicken W/ Broccoli, Boneless Spares Ribs, and Sweet & Sour Chicken. Moreover, this place also has decent Spare rib tips and Chicken lo Mein. And if you're looking to satiate the palate of two people from one dish, definitely try their Happy Family order. You will not be disappointed. Another great aspect of the joint is their ever fast delivery service. Even when this place seems to be inundated with delivery orders, they have never failed to deliver my food in less than half an hour.

How do they do it?, What do they put into the ingredients? Why is the food so addictive? How did they manage to convert me, a pure-breed traditional Chinese-food Lover, into an Americanized Chinese-food Lover? She broke the ice with fried wontons. She then impressed me with fried scallops. I discovered her true depth with (a) Fried Buffalo Chicken Wings (asian-style) and, (b) Crispy-fried, Garlic-sauce-marinated Chicken A full meal should cost more than 6 bucks. That's somewhat of a staple for New York. What, I ask, are these guys doing, offering great tasting & filling (MSG-free!) meals for less than 6 BUCKS! ? "It can't be done!, there'll be compromise in the quality & quantity of the food." Unless they do it right... Well, I could only describe this wonderful place as a Chinese-Spanish fusion fast food restaurant. I was excited from the onset. This isn't your standard Spanish food, and it's not your standard Chinese food; it's all of that!, Remixed! My experience with Chinese-Spanish fusion has always ended on a positive note. Here are a few of the dishes I've tried: Roast Pork Egg Foo Young Amazing Egg Foo Young. If you love steamed scrambled eggs, gravy-smothered veggies, and roast pork, you'll love this dish. They give you three generous, larger-than-life patties of egg foo young, a heaping of white rice, and a generous amount of tasty gravy. Tip, keep drizzling the gravy.., smother everything in sight! Roast Pork Chop Suey This was disappointing. The roast pork slices were ample and flavorful, even the gravy was tasty. However, the veggies, were sliced a bit too big for my taste. Asopao de Pollo (chicken gumbo!) It's more of a soup than a gumbo. However, the sauce is so silky smooth that you can almost drink it like a soup. Almost. It's good though! Wet, soupy grains of rice paired with chicken, and Spanish spices. I like it. I don't often find myself compelled to try everything on the menu. However, this place has managed to capture my full and undivided devotion.
